Flexible working hours means more family time
Richard HoweApparently there are 179,000 single fathers in the UK, many of whom have had to give up their ‘normal’ job in order to support their children – a change which can often lead to financial hardship. Luckily, my Kleeneze business meant that I didn’t have to make a choice between being with my three children and earning a good living.
When I first heard about the Kleeneze opportunity through a friend I could not help but feel smug that my education meant that I would never have to stoop so low. Before Kleeneze, I used my Mining Engineering degree to get a high-flying IT job, which saw me quickly progress into management and take up various positions around the world. It was while I was living in Bermuda that I found out what being time poor really meant – I went to work in the dark and came home in the dark, barely spending anytime with my family.
When I was offered redundancy, I asked my friend to tell me about the Kleeneze opportunity again. Amazingly, after four and half years he was earning £4,500 per month – it had taken me five years of further education and sixteen years in the corporate world to get to that figure!
Kleeneze provides single parents with a real alternative. Without its flexibility I would not be able to provide my children with what they need physically and emotionally. The Kleeneze business model means I have time to concentrate on the important things – like making sure the children get the right packed lunches every morning – while not having to worry about money.
