Kleeneze are launching a new mentoring campaign to help over 50s fight back against the effects of the recession.
The move comes after research by Kleeneze revealed that 42% of over 50s claim that the recession has had a negative effect on their income, with 22% of those aged 55 or over suffering from reduced income from pensions and savings.
Kleeneze distributors across the country will be working as mentors for fellow over 50s who want to find out more about how they can start their own business.

Kleeneze has launched its ‘Shop Local’ campaign to show support for its distributors and their fellow small traders.
Retailers can join the campaign by displaying the Shop Local poster instore, while shoppers can show support by spending their money with local independent retailers and telling friends and family why it’s important to shop locally.

The latest official figures show that the number of people out of work in the UK had risen to its highest level since 1995, with 7.8% of the population now out of work.

Research by Kleeneze to mark the first six months since the UK officially entered recession on 23 January has revealed that over 1 in 3 UK households (35%) have had their income reduced.
The study revealed that those households affected have seen their income reduced by an average of 19.71%, the equivalent of £6,460 per year for the typical UK family*. However, people are showing resilience and fighting back, with a significant proportion (20.5%) finding ways to bring in extra cash, such as taking on a second job.
